A new release of mGBA, version 0.8.4, is available. This version is a bugfix release, which contains many stability and accuracy fixes. Notably, an issue in the 3DS version that would lead to the 3DS crashing when exiting the emulator, and an issue that would lead mGBA to appearing in a language other than English by default on macOS despite the system language being set to English, have been fixed. The previously mentioned bug with Advance Wars is still present in 0.8.4. It has also been discovered to affect Final Fantasy I. This can be worked around by using a dump of the official BIOS, or using a development build, also available on the download page, which has the bug fixed. One player can race against the best times on each course with no CPU opponents. After beating a best time, players can save Ghost data onto each time trial course. Whenever the player races on that course again, the player's Ghost mirrors movements of the saved data. Ghost data can also be downloaded from other players using the Game Boy Link Cable. Players are given Triple Mushrooms for use during Time Trials. Players also have the option to view their Ghost data using the Records option. Players can either turn their Ghost on or off during Time Trials using the before selecting the mode.

I had the same issue when I first downloaded it. If you don't already have it, download Wine Winery. If you have it, make sure you have the most updated version. After installing, Show Package Contents of the Pokemon Insurgence app and open Wineskin. Go to Advanced, then Tools, and click "Update Wrapper". Open Wine Winery and add the engine "WS9Wine2.12". Go back to Wineskin, Advanced, Tools, and click "Change Engine Used". Change it to WS9Wine2.12. This is what I did to fix my issue.

The first two downloads are for 32-bit Windows and the second two are for 64-bit windows. So what is that and which version do you download? I won't drown you with technical jargon. In short: these are types of Windows systems. 64-bit is newer and faster, and 32-bit is older and slower. If you have 64-bit Windows, you need to download the 64-bit version of mGBA. And vice versa with 32-bit.
